At 3:24 AM, the West Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to assist Station 47 with a house fire on the 1500 block of Worthington Drive in Uwchlan Township. Within minutes, Assistant Chief 6 (Mike Holmes) responded to the scene. While en route, PD confirmed a working fire with entrapment. Upon arrival, Assistant 6 along with Captain 47 rescued the trapped elderly female from her 2nd floor bedroom while both engine companies made the push to the basement to extinguish the fire. Assisting companies were Station 47 (Lionville), Station 46 (Downingtown), Station 49 (East Brandywine), Station 5 (East Whiteland), and Station 87 (Uwchlan Ambulance).
