On Saturday while the storms rolled in, the West Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to a barbecue grill on fire on the 100 block of Shoen Rd. Deputy 6 found nothing evident in the area.
While units were still in route, Chief 6 was notified to a residential fire on Ship Rd at 6:38PM. Unit’s immediately redirected to the Ship Rd incident. Chief 6 arrived to find fire showing from the dwelling. Due to live power lines being down, units staged until the arrival of Peco. The fire was kept in check with an ABC extinguisher while Peco worked to remove power to the residence. The fire was placed under control and units returned at 8pm.
