On the night of October 20th during a heavy downpour, The West Whiteland Fire Company was dispatched to an emergency incident. While responding to the station, Firefighter Colin Reedy was killed and Firefighter Emily Gindele was critically injured in a motor vehicle accident. The Members of the West Whiteland Fire Company were heartbroken to learn of such devastating news. As word of Colin’s passing was announced and Emily’s condition was released, the overwhelming support for our members, the Reedy Family, and the Gindele Family was profound. Condolences and support from our community, county, state, and nation came to our doorstep. All offering to help in any way possible, no matter the task. With heavy hearts, we continue to honor our dear friend Colin and support Emily by doing what they loved to do… Serve others. The entire membership of The West Whiteland Fire Company would like to say “Thank You” to all those who have reached out and supported us in our time of need.
With Colin’s oversight we will remain vigilant… With Emily’s strength we will continue to serve… Together we will persevere…
Respectfully, Kevin M Miller Chief West Whiteland Fire Company
